GCC offers a before and after school for children ages 5 through 12 years old for working families in Guilford.
Since 1978, it has been the goal of the Guilford Before & After School Care Program to provide quality and affordable care to elementary school children. In doing so, our program enables parents to work, continue their education or pursue other interests.
The children in our care are provided with a safe and relaxed environment in which to enjoy a variety of activities. Much of the creative inspiration for these activities comes from the children themselves, whose ideas and preferences are always well regarded by the staff, who continuously strive to keep the program activities flexible and appealing.
Although, as an organization, we function independently of the public school system, we maintain close, supportive ties with the professional staff of the schools in which we operate. This unique relationship affords us the opportunity to interact effectively between parents and school personnel whenever special needs circumstances exist.

GCC Before and After School Care Program
We are a state licensed program that provides before school care (7-9am) and after school care(3-6pm) for children ages 5 through 12 years old.
How have 3 weeks already gone by?!?
Yesterday we took a trip to The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk! The kids touched sting rays, looked at all of the fish, and took some much earned naps on the way home!

Yesterday we had a special visit from Mystic Aquarium!! The kids had a blast learning about the shoreline and exploring the touch tanks!

Week 1 of our summer program is underway and we hit the ground running! 🏃🏻♂️
Yesterday we had a special visit from Mad Science! The kids had a chance to mix and match different ingredients to create their own slime! 🦠
🎈Today some of our older friends had a chance to send some water balloons flying through the air with Mr. Tom’s balloon sling shot! 🎈
