“GCC is one reason why Guilford is such a wonderful place for families. The Early Childhood Education program has a really welcoming feel and a great facility. Aside from having great classrooms, the indoor and outdoor play spaces ensure that our son can be active, no matter the weather. He loves that his school has a cafeteria and we really appreciate the family-style meals. Our older child is part of the GCC family too, happily attending GCC’s After School Program five days a week. As a family with two working parents and two active kids, we are so thankful for that GCC provides programs where our children can learn and grow.”
“After going through the paces of a traditional childcare program with our daughter, we were ready to make the transition to a full time preschool program. There was no doubt in our minds that Guilford Center for Children was where we wanted to be due to the multiple recommendations from friends and community members alike. From the welcoming environment to the comprehensive curriculum, we immediately felt at home and at ease. Our daughter was able to thrive and explore throughout her time at GCC, and her new knowledge helped her confidence and personality grow as she prepared for kindergarten in the Guilford public schools. As a member of the board, I have been able to fully explore the internal workings of GCC, and I am honored and proud to be part of such a nurturing and promising organization. Our younger daughter is enrolled for the upcoming year, and we are looking forward to once again being involved in the day-to-day of GCC.”
“As a longtime Guilford Center for Children parent and board member, I cannot say enough about what a special school this is. My three year old is thriving at GCC in his first year – benefiting from such a warm and welcoming environment, age appropriate curriculum, talented staff, and wonderful Director. The staff is engaged and supportive, clearly putting much effort into creating an inviting, fun, and emotionally and academically sound program for the children. My eight year old daughter spent three years at GCC (2010- 2013) and was provided a great springboard for a lifelong love of learning. She is a curious and enthusiastic learner thanks to the foundation laid by this mighty organization.”
“Guilford Center for Children is a very special place. My three grandchildren were so loved and nurtured by their teachers and staff. GCC gave them a fun, encouraging and safe place in which to not only memorize their ABC’s but to learn about the world, through song and play, while making lifelong friends.”
“My daughter and our family LOVED her time at GCC. She was being taught and cared for in a nurturing, stimulating environment. Her (and our) best friends to this day (she is now in 4th grade) are the children and families she met while at GCC.”

I am expressing my support of Guilford Center for Children, Inc. (GCC) and your vital role as Director of GCC’s Early Education program. Both Carol and I, as grandparents of William and Madeline Sanders, graduates of GCC’s Early Education Program, witnessed firsthand the joy and wonder of this NAEYC Accredited Program. GCC’s Early Education program provided Will and Maddie with an excellent educational, development experience beginning at 3 years old and ending during their 5th year during 2012. GCC’s Early Education program is staffed with outstanding professional educators that amazingly walk the talk of GCC’s mission statement i.e. “The Guilford Center for Children, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children who need out-of-home care during the day.” I firmly believe this early educational program provided Will and Maddie with an open and all-inclusive lifelong learning skills for which they will continue to build upon for the rest of their lives.
Thank you, Bill and Carol Ridolfi
