GCC Early Education is so very lucky to have a full time chef with a degree in nutrition and a chef’s assistant that create healthy and beautiful meals and snacks each day. All of our meals are served family style and enjoyed with the company of peers and teachers in our spacious dining room. Children practice many life skills throughout the meal experience as they serve themselves, converse with each other, and clear their spots and collectively help take care of our school during cleaning up. GCC is part of the Connecticut Child and Adult Care Food Program, the CACFP, which helps to fund our kitchen and meals and provides the structure and guidelines that goes into our nutritious and creative menus.
